It is with regret that we must announce that because of circumstances beyond our control, the YEAR 2000 BLACK DOLL SHOW & SALE has been cancelled.

This event, started 1987 by doll collector Linda E.Stewart of Englewood,NJ, has grown in attendance and exhibitor participation over the years. As a result, it is the only show of its kind in this region. This show continues to offer the very best Black dolls, doll accessories and countless gift items to make any occasion a memorable one for years to come.

"Our children deserve the best selection of beautiful Black dolls and toys," Mrs. Stewart says. "But more importantly, the selection of playthings should project a positive image. We make every effort to find and display items for our children which will enhance their appreciation of themselves and their community." It is because of this commitment and her pioneering efforts to expose that she was honored with a Cultural Heritage Award by the Teaneck-Englewood Vicinity Club/National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc.

This show provides communities with an opportunity to see and buy from a larger selection of dolls and at the same time have an opportunity to actually meet the doll artists who were responsible for creating the treasures that are not found in any toy or department store.
